Onion Pakora

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ProPoshan besan
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp ajwain
  • 1/2 cup water (or as needed)
  • 1-2 onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1-2 green chillies (chopped)
  • Handful of chopped coriander leaves
  • Oil (for frying)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Mix ProPoshan besan, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, and ajwain in a bowl.
  • Gradually add water to form a thick batter.
  • Add sliced onions, green chillies, and chopped coriander leaves to the batter; mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil.
  • Fry until pakoras are golden and crispy.
  • Drain on paper towels.
  • Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
